About Bush Barrow
Bush Barrow is a pioneering social enterprise dedicated to enhancing mobility technology for diverse applications. We specialize in designing and manufacturing micro-cargo solutions that facilitate the movement of heavy cargo across various terrains. Our flagship product, the Bush Barrow, is an ultra-versatile tool capable of transporting over 250 kilograms (550 lbs), enabling users to carry up to ten times more with reduced effort.
Our mission centers around empowering individuals and communities through appropriate technology, particularly small-scale farmers. Collaborating closely with these stakeholders, we co-designed the Bush Barrow after testing over 20 prototypes to address their unique challenges.
Our technology is not limited to farming; it also supports urban gardens, landscaping projects, and waste management initiatives in municipalities, where it aids manual waste pickers in maintaining city cleanliness.
