About Windsor Essex Student Transportation Services
Windsor-Essex Student Transportation Services (WESTS) is a dedicated consortium formed by the Greater Essex County District School Board, Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire Providence, and Conseil scolaire Viamonde. Committed to ensuring safe, effective, and efficient transportation for students in Windsor and Essex County, WESTS plays a crucial role in managing student transportation in the region.
The organization offers a range of programs and training services, including School Bus Safety Rules, Safety Tips, and specialized training for Special Needs and Bus Patrol. They also provide valuable resources such as the First Ride Program, which helps students acclimate to school transportation. With a steadfast mission to support students' education through reliable transportation, WESTS adheres to strict policies designed to maintain safety for all young passengers.
Through community engagement and a focus on safety, WESTS continues to evolve in response to challenges, including current bus driver shortages, ensuring that every student has access to safe transportation on their educational journey.
