BUS MODS

Proton Bus is a Brazilian bus simulator project available on Android and PC since 2017. Developed as more than a standalone game, it functions as a platform where players and creators can add buses, maps, routes, skins and other content through mods. The project team also produces and commissions free mods, many released under Creative Commons licences, while community members contribute a wide variety of creations.

Busmods.com is the project’s support and information site, bringing together official downloads, help pages, tutorials, development updates and a catalogue of mods. It provides access to recent versions for mobile and computer, links to the urban and intercity editions, and information about an experimental truck-focused version. The site also introduces related projects: a free alpha test exploring a potential successor built with Unreal Engine, and Ciano, a sandbox experiment featuring programmable mods in C#. Users can find troubleshooting guidance for settings, maps, routes and mods, alongside news about updates and testing. Some listed bus mods are marked premium, while many are freely available.
