Olivia Goodreau is an author, inventor, and Lyme disease advocate whose work focuses on supporting people affected by Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. Her memoir, But She Looks Fine: From Illness to Activism, recounts her experience with chronic Lyme, the physical and emotional challenges she faced, and how those experiences inspired her advocacy. In 2017, at age 12, Olivia founded the LivLyme Foundation, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance to children and families facing treatment costs and supports research into effective treatments and cures. The foundation also works to educate the public about ticks and tick-borne illnesses. Olivia has developed free digital tools including the global TickTracker app, Tickmojis, and LongHaulTracker. Through her foundation, she has awarded grants to young patients and research teams, and has hosted LivLyme Summits featuring scientists, clinicians, public officials, and advocates. Her site also shares book reviews, news, speaking appearances, and information about her advocacy and projects.
