BuurtAED is a compassionate initiative aimed at enhancing community safety through the accessibility of life-saving Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). In collaboration with the Heart Foundation and Philips, the program empowers neighborhoods to raise funds for purchasing AEDs, complete with outdoor cabinets and five years of maintenance services. Each campaign is designed to mobilize local residents within 30 days, encouraging them to contribute to the cause of saving lives in emergencies.
With approximately 17,000 heart attack incidents occurring annually outside hospitals, the swift availability of an AED can drastically improve survival rates. BuurtAED advocates for the placement of these critical devices in accessible locations throughout communities, ensuring they are ready for use at any time.
The platform allows users to start fundraising actions, donate, or search for ongoing initiatives, fostering a spirit of collaboration. Join BuurtAED to enhance your neighborhood’s preparedness and potentially save lives through immediate access to AEDs when it matters most. Explore how you can contribute to a safer environment today.
