BVA

The Blinded Veterans Association (BVA) is a nonprofit organization serving veterans who are blind or have low vision. It builds community, supports members, and helps veterans navigate services and opportunities related to vision loss. BVA offers membership resources, regional groups, educational programs, scholarships, advocacy, and assistance with VA benefits. Its Veterans Care Review program and ambassador team are among the ways it connects veterans with information and support.

BVA also develops practical initiatives to help members make use of assistive technology. In partnership with Meta, the association is coordinating a donation of Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses for blinded veterans and providing training to help recipients use them. Requests are currently being added to a waitlist due to strong demand. Members can access information about care review, benefits, membership, and other resources through the association, and participate in events such as its national convention. BVA also shares veteran stories, educational content, and updates, and invites supporters to donate or volunteer.
