Brandywine Valley Symphony, formerly known as the Kennett Symphony, is a professional orchestra established in 1940. Based in Chester County, Pennsylvania, it is the county’s only professional symphony orchestra and serves audiences across the greater Philadelphia region, from southeastern Pennsylvania to northern Delaware. Its musicians also come from New York, Maryland, and New Jersey.
The Symphony presents high-energy performances in welcoming, innovative settings and creates distinctive musical experiences in notable regional venues. Its programs bring together timeless classical works and popular favorites, aiming to make live music engaging and accessible to a broad audience. The orchestra’s 2026–2027 season includes performances at venues such as the Duffy Arts Center, Mendenhall Inn, Chester County History Center, Kennett Library, and Winterthur Museum, concluding with a season finale at Longwood Gardens. Tickets are available for selected concerts, and the Symphony welcomes community support for its performances and performing arts programs.
