Byens Begravelser

Byens Begravelser is an independent funeral service based in Odense, serving families in Odense and across Funen. Led by funeral director Heidi Augustinus Schmidt, formerly known as Isabella Troldeberg, the business offers personal guidance and practical support after a death. Its role is to help families through an especially difficult time, with care, respect and attention to the wishes and beliefs of the deceased and their loved ones.

Heidi works with each family to plan a fitting funeral or cremation ceremony. Arrangements can include a service at a church, chapel or home, or a quiet gathering around the coffin. Byens Begravelser assists with the practical organisation of the ceremony and provides advice throughout the process, including administrative matters. The website also provides information about coffins and urns, flowers, headstones, urn interment, financial matters and steps to take after a death. Families can discuss their needs in person and receive a binding price estimate, with prices available on request. The funeral director can be contacted around the clock for assistance.
