Bystuen i Vinderup

Bystuen is an open community and cultural house in Vinderup, Denmark, bringing together people, art and cultures. Its work focuses on children and young people’s access to art, creative learning environments and interdisciplinary cultural projects, in keeping with the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The house also supports local connection through shared activities and welcoming spaces for people of different ages.

Its programme includes a children’s and youth art school, drawing, ceramics and creative workshops, as well as a knitting group, a playgroup and pop-up communities. Visitors can also take part in a repair café, a sewing workshop and a garden project. Events and activities are updated regularly, with offerings such as a harvest festival and livestreamed science talks from Aarhus University. Bystuen invites people to join its communities, attend activities and support its work. Located at Sportsvej 1 in Vinderup, it provides a local setting for learning, making and meeting through culture and creativity.
