About Bristol Zoo Project
Bristol Zoological Society is a conservation and education charity that runs Bristol Zoo Project, a wildlife attraction near Cribbs Causeway in Bristol. Visitors can explore habitats and encounter animals from around the world, including lemurs and European brown bears, as well as the African Forest, home to threatened species and a troop of gorillas. The Project offers daily visits, seasonal experiences such as its winter Wild Lights, and family activities including the conservation-themed Wildlife Mission. Visitors can also take part in special events and discover more about the animals and the work to protect them.
The Society carries out conservation work in 10 countries across four continents, focusing on conserving species and protecting wild habitats. Bristol Zoo Project memberships allow repeat visits throughout the year and include exclusive benefits, while also supporting the charityโs work. The organisation also offers opportunities to volunteer and provides venue hire. Through its visitor experiences, education and conservation programmes, Bristol Zoological Society connects people with wildlife and encourages support for species and habitats in the wild.
