C-re-aid, established in 2012, is an architectural NGO that is dedicated to exploring the possibilities of responsible building practices and materials in order to promote long-term socio-economic and environmental improvement across East Africa. The brand believes that architecture has the potential to go beyond purely aesthetic enhancements and aims to make sustainable, ecological, and affordable building methods accessible to all. C-re-aid achieves this through research projects and close collaboration with village leaders, partner communities, NGOs, and universities.

They also train young architects and local craftsmen in the techniques that make C-re-aid unique. By developing building techniques from locally sourced materials, C-re-aid not only creates a sustainable building culture but also ensures that their materials are affordable for people from all financial backgrounds. Over the years, C-re-aid has been joined by over 200 students, interns, and volunteers from around the world, all contributing their efforts and time to the organization.
