Central Asia and the Caucasus (CAC) is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal founded in 2000, publishing interdisciplinary research on Central Asia, the Caucasus, and related global issues. Its scope includes social sciences, political science, international relations, development studies, and ocean engineering, with coverage of social, political, economic, developmental, and engineering challenges. The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, and other scholarly contributions from researchers and professionals.

CAC transitioned to a Gold Open Access model in 2020, making its published work freely available. Articles are assessed through a double-blind review process, and the journal reports a typical final decision timeframe of four to six weeks. It publishes annually and offers multilingual content under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. Its services for academic contributors include submission guidance, author guidelines, information about article processing charges, and reviewer resources. Readers can browse current and archived issues, announcements, and journal information online. CAC is currently published by Ninety Nine Publication and has been indexed in Scopus from 2013 to 2021.
