Cocaine Anonymous Sussex is a local fellowship offering support and recovery to people seeking to stop using cocaine and other mind-altering substances, including alcohol and other drugs. Members come from varied backgrounds and share their experience, strength and hope to support one another and help others achieve sobriety. The fellowship’s primary purpose is to help people stay free from substance use and support others facing addiction.
Cocaine Anonymous uses a Twelve Step Recovery Programme and encourages members to take recovery one day at a time. The only membership requirement is a desire to stop using; there are no dues or fees. Meetings are confidential, and newcomers can find local meeting information, including updates about temporary changes, through the Sussex website. A helpline offers another way to seek support.
The site also provides newcomer guidance, a self-test for cocaine addiction, members’ stories, recovery literature and downloadable resources. Its committees include Hospitals and Institutions and Public Information, with materials such as information cards and business cards.
