About CAAWS.org
CAAWS. org is the oldest local humane society in Baton Rouge, serving the community for over forty years. As a leader in animal welfare education, we are dedicated to promoting responsible companion animal ownership and ending animal abandonment.
Our organization offers a range of services, including adoption programs that have found forever homes for 89 dogs and 15 cats in the past year. We also have a Trap-Neuter-Release program that has prevented the birth of over one million unwanted cats by eliminating the reproduction of 1265 cats. Additionally, our pet touch therapy program brings smiles to residents of nursing homes, hospice, and schools, and our community assistance program provides spay/neuter assistance to low-income families.
We rely on the generosity of private donations and fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. Help us continue to save animals in Baton Rouge by donating today
