About CAAZ
The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) was established in 1999 to oversee and regulate civil aviation within the country, following international best practices. As an authority separate from airport operations, CAAZ is dedicated to promoting civil aviation safety, security, and efficiency. Its mission includes developing air transport, maintaining air navigation facilities, and providing essential air navigation services. CAAZ offers a range of services including regulatory oversight, training for aviation personnel, and ensuring compliance with both national legislation and the Chicago Convention.
With a vision to become a regional center of excellence by 2030, CAAZ is committed to fostering the civil aviation industry in Zimbabwe. The organization values continuous learning, teamwork, integrity, and accountability, which are critical to its operations. CAAZ not only advises the government on domestic and international aviation matters but also facilitates flight operations, licensing, and air traffic services, ensuring a safe and efficient aviation environment for all users.
