Cabanas da Viscondessa | Urzelina offers a unique and immersive experience in the Azores. Nestled on the Quinta da Bacelada estate, our cabanas allow you to merge with nature while still enjoying the comforts of modern living. The foundations of our cabanas are steeped in local lore and the memories of our ancestors, particularly the Viscondessa de São Mateus, whose descendants have maintained the estate for the past two centuries.

Situated on the southern slopes of São Jorge island, we are conveniently located in the middle of the island, not far from the airport and the town of Velas. Our surroundings offer a breathtaking coastline with steep cliffs, small inlets, and stunning caves to explore. The famous fajãs, flat areas at sea level, add to the natural charm of the island.

Our goal is to preserve the pristine nature and air of the island, and therefore, smoking is not allowed indoors or in any of our outdoor spaces. The Cabanas da Viscondessa are a non-smoking facility.
