Cachivo L7

Cachivo provides reverse proxy and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) protection for websites and online services. Its platform places a distributed network of proxy nodes between public visitors and a customer’s origin server, helping keep the origin’s IP address and hostname out of public DNS, certificates, and response headers. Customers register a server and receive a protected hostname to use as their public address, without needing to change the origin server’s existing setup.

Traffic passes through filtering layers that combine DDoS mitigation, web application firewall (WAF) protection, request-rate and connection limits, packet filtering, and load balancing across health-monitored nodes. If a node fails, it is drained automatically, while stateless replacement nodes can be provisioned and rejoin the network. Cachivo supports HTTP and HTTPS; raw TCP and UDP forwarding are described as planned rather than currently available.

The service includes a dashboard, per-server protection, transparent credit-based billing, and a REST API for automating tasks such as managing servers, customers, and account credit.
