About Cacholog
Cacholog faithfully replicates the core mechanics and "Web 2.0" aesthetic of the original Fotolog. Its tagline, "Una foto por día. Todos los días. Jajaja, te acordás del 2008?" (One photo a day. Every day. Hahaha, do you remember 2008?), explicitly targets the generation that grew up posting selfies and signing guestbooks before the rise of Instagram.
The "One Photo" Rule: Just like the original, it restricts users to posting a single photo per day, reviving the "curated" scarcity that made Fotolog updates significant.
Nostalgic Interface: The design is intentionally retro, featuring simple profile layouts, a "Guestbook" (Libro de visitas) for comments, and a focus on chronological updates.
Community: The platform currently hosts over 35,000 users and 150,000+ photos, with a highly active user base primarily from Argentina and Chile—the two countries where the flogger and pokémon subcultures were most prominent.
