Café Campesino is a specialty coffee company based in Americus, Georgia, founded in 1998. It describes itself as Georgia’s first and only 100% fair trade, organic specialty coffee company. The business operates as a cooperative importer, roaster, wholesaler-distributor, and online retailer, supplying customers and organizations across the United States.
Its coffee is sourced directly from smallholder farmer cooperatives through Cooperative Coffees, a green coffee roaster cooperative co-founded by Café Campesino. The company emphasizes fair, direct, and transparent trade and offers organic, shade-grown, specialty-grade Arabica coffee. Its selection includes blends, single-origin coffees, espresso, decaffeinated and half-caffeinated options, and different roast styles, available as individual products and subscriptions. Café Campesino also sells sustainably sourced teas and branded merchandise.
Customers include individuals, coffee houses, markets, restaurants, universities, hospitals, and fundraising groups. Orders are available through its online shop, and the company also provides wholesale services and a coffee subscription program. Café Campesino is a Certified B Corporation and belongs to the Fair Trade Federation, the Specialty Coffee Association, and Georgia Organics.
