Our journey began in 1991 when we were founded in response to unfair trading practices.

We set up partnerships with farmer cooperatives in Peru, Mexico, and Costa Rica, and started selling their coffee directly, cutting out middlemen. This marked the beginning of direct trade in the UK coffee industry. Over the years, we have generated over £30 million for farmers, thanks to the support of our customers.

We continue to drive change by becoming the first coffee company to be both Fairtrade and B Corp certified. We also partner with Producers Direct to support groundbreaking initiatives and award-winning technology that increases farmers' incomes and restores the environment. Through our responsible growth framework, the Gold Standard, we ensure sustainable prices, inclusive governance, and investments in farmers' businesses.
