About Café Skansen
Café Skansen is a restaurant on Christiania Torv in central Oslo, where historic architecture meets contemporary Scandinavian dining. Inspired by the original Skansen Restaurant, which opened at Kontraskjæret in 1927, the café is a welcoming meeting place for local residents and visitors. Its intimate interior, including a fireplace for colder days, offers a relaxed setting for lunch, dinner or a drink.
The menu changes with the seasons and focuses on quality ingredients and skilled preparation, featuring classic Scandinavian dishes alongside lighter summer options with fish, shellfish and vegetables. In warmer months, guests can dine on the spacious outdoor terrace amid historic surroundings.
