The Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) Section of Forni di Sopra is a local branch of Italy’s national Alpine Club, based in Forni di Sopra, Friuli Venezia Giulia. Founded as an independent section in 1982, it promotes mountaineering in all its forms, knowledge and study of the mountains, and protection of the natural environment. The section supports members through annual registration and provides information about membership fees and its Fidelity Card.

Its activities and resources focus on the surrounding mountain landscape, including local peaks, hiking routes, refuges and bivouacs. Visitors can explore information on excursions, territory, geology, flora and fauna, as well as galleries featuring nature, mountains, water and archival images. The section also shares news and events, including mountain celebrations, talks and a photography contest.

Its website connects members and visitors with regional Alpine Club organizations, mountain rescue, the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park and nearby refuges. Led by a volunteer board, the section serves people interested in mountain activities, local heritage and the conservation of the alpine environment
