Cairo Airport

Cairo International Airport is Egypt’s major international airport, located on Oruba Road in Heliopolis, Cairo, and operated by Cairo Airport Company. Its history dates to the 1940s, when the site served as an American air-force base during the Second World War before being transferred to civil aviation authorities in 1945. The airport provides flight information, arrival and departure schedules, airline details, and guidance for passengers travelling through its terminals.

Passenger services include Ahlan, a support service for arriving and departing travellers. Representatives can assist with travel procedures and luggage, with lounge access and dedicated airport transport described for eligible passengers. Airport facilities and resources include currency exchange, banks and ATMs, shops and duty-free shopping, parking, car rentals, hotels, medical facilities, restaurants, and lost-and-found support. Information is also available on immigration, customs, passenger security, and transport within and around the airport. Through its website and app, Cairo International Airport offers service bookings, travel guidance, and updates, while its visitor resources introduce attractions, culture, and tourism in Cairo and Egypt.
