About Cairo Climate Talks
Cairo Climate Talks (CCT) is a brand that aims to promote exchange experiences, raise awareness, and foster cooperation between policymakers, businesses, the scientific community, and civil society in the fields of energy and environment. Established in 2011, CCT organizes public events, expert workshops, and capacity building activities for practitioners to address climate change and environmental protection. This initiative, a collaboration between the German Embassy in Cairo, the Egyptian Ministry of Environment, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), offers diverse events for a range of audiences and actively participates in environmental initiatives.
Furthermore, CCT Junior engages young individuals by providing educational activities related to climate change. The brand also recognizes outstanding environmental journalism through the annual CCT Environmental Journalism Award. Through monthly podium discussions, CCT facilitates cooperation and exchange of ideas among leading policymakers and experts.
