Christian Academy in Japan (CAJ) is a renowned K-12 school established in 1950 with a mission to provide Christ-centered education to the children of evangelical missionaries. Over the years, CAJ has expanded its reach to serve other families who share the desire for this type of education. Our school program, conducted in English and following a North American curriculum, caters to approximately 450 students in the day school program and over 300 students in the School Support Services program.

The student body at CAJ comprises the dependents of missionaries (40%) as well as business and professional families (60%), hailing from more than 25 countries and holding dual citizenship in many cases. Additionally, CAJ operates a division called School Support Services (SSS), which offers consultancy, resources, and programs for English-speaking homeschoolers in Japan since 1983. SSS provides support both for families who homeschool all subjects and those who supplement English studies alongside Japanese school education.

Situated in the western suburbs of Tokyo on a 4-acre campus, CAJ boasts various top-notch facilities, including an auditorium that seats 370, a modern library with 25,000 volumes and access to an extensive collection of audiobooks and ebooks, a spacious gymnasium, turf soccer field, outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, and well-equipped play areas. Each student is provided with a laptop or tablet computer, and the school offers a convenient hot lunch program. CAJ is affiliated with esteemed organizations such as Resonate Global Missions, The Evangelical Covenant Church, One Mission Society, SEND International, The Evangelical Alliance Mission, and WorldVenture.
