Calaris Diagnostics

Calaris Diagnostics is a medical diagnostics company developing non-invasive, saliva-based tests to support earlier detection of liver disease and head and neck cancer. Its SALCheck™ platform is designed to bring point-of-care screening into primary care, community health and dental settings, helping address barriers that can keep patients from reaching existing screening pathways. The tests use validated salivary biomarkers, multiplexing technology and computational algorithms to generate risk scores for early triage. Saliva collection requires no needle or phlebotomist, and the platform is being designed to deliver results in minutes without specialized infrastructure.

Calaris’s lead program, SALCheck™ Liver, is being developed to detect and assess the risk of clinically significant liver fibrosis in people with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). SALCheck™ Oral is a planned screening test intended to identify people at higher risk of head and neck cancers before symptoms emerge. Both products remain in development. The company says its science draws on peer-reviewed research with an Australian academic partner, and development is underway with a UK-based contract development and manufacturing partner.
