Calcutta Connect is a non-governmental organization (NGO) with a mission to alleviate poverty through education. Founded in 2010 by past pupils of the Coláiste Éanna India Immersion Project, our dedicated team comes from diverse backgrounds, bringing a wealth of experience to our work. We support children and young people from impoverished communities in Calcutta and surrounding areas.

Our main focus is on education, and we have partnered with the Panikhali Rural Development Society (PRDS). PRDS provides preschool education and coaching to over 1,200 students, as well as forming mother's groups in local communities. We also support older students in completing their secondary education by offering sponsorships.

Once a student completes their secondary education, we continue to support them at the tertiary level. At Calcutta Connect, we are proud to operate a 100% model. This means that all public donations go directly toward the projects we support, while administrative expenses are funded separately.
