About CalderConnect
CalderConnect is Calderdale Council’s community information directory, designed to connect adults living in Calderdale with information, advice and guidance. It helps people find local activities, groups and services that can support their health, independence and quality of life. The directory brings together resources across a broad range of needs, including staying independent at home, care and housing options, health and wellbeing, money and legal matters, and staying safe.
It also provides information for people who help or care for someone, as well as opportunities related to activities, transport, volunteering, education and employment. Dedicated sections cover learning disabilities and planning for adulthood, including support for people with special educational needs and those leaving care. Users can browse by subject or search the service directory by keyword, location and category.
The site also features events, news and links to NHS service searches. Accessibility settings are available, and visitors can use Google Translate to help view pages in another language. CalderConnect is intended to make community support easier to discover
