Calendrier des Quartiers is a Montréal-based initiative that celebrates local businesses through a festive Advent calendar. Each edition features 24 daily surprises from cafés, restaurants, shops, studios, and other neighborhood businesses. Customers can choose from four editions: La Petite-Patrie, Plateau-Mont-Royal, Villeray, and Rosemont Est. Each calendar costs $45 and contains the same gifts and participating partners for everyone who buys that neighborhood’s edition.

From December 1 to 24, calendar holders open one door each day, read how to claim the gift, and redeem it directly at the partner business. Surprises may include coffee, food, drinks, activities, or other experiences. Gifts are free once the calendar is purchased, with no additional purchase required, and the redemption period allows time to enjoy them. The project encourages residents to explore their neighborhoods and support independent local businesses. It also gives back: $2.25 from each calendar sold is donated to a nonprofit organization associated with that edition. Calendars are available online and through participating points of sale, while supplies last.
