About Indian Society of Calgary
Indian Society of Calgary (ISC) is a brand-new platform that aims to foster the participation of Indian communities in the development of a cohesive and culturally pluralistic society in Alberta, Canada. With a strong base of nearly 4,000 Indians, ISC provides a unified platform for all Calgarians and Albertans of Indian origin. The organization was established to overcome the barriers of regional boundaries and geographical distances, allowing Indians living in Calgary to connect and engage with one another.
ISC's goal is to stimulate and promote interest and appreciation of Indian culture in Canada, fostering social, cultural, and economic integration. The organization offers various programs and services, including impact mentorship, newcomer support, job support for youth, social and cultural wellness, blood donation, and a food bank. Additionally, ISC organizes a range of events and workshops to engage the community and promote cultural understanding.
