Caliera Performance Horses

Caliera Performance Horses provides equine bodywork focused on helping horses achieve and maintain their performance potential. Based in Dural, the business serves Sydney and the Hawkesbury, with other areas available by special arrangement. Its services are led by Suzie Middleton, whose background includes a degree in equine science and a focus on biomechanics and the movement of equine athletes.

Each bodywork service begins with an assessment of the horse’s conformation and movement. This may include conformation and gait analysis, as well as dynamic stretching exercises, to identify abnormalities, weaknesses or other concerns. Caliera then works with the owner to develop a realistic, personalised plan, using a combination of therapies and proactive management to address weaknesses before they affect performance. Stretching exercises may also be used to help build strength.

Caliera’s approach centres on supporting equine wellbeing and maintaining performance, with attention to identifying biomechanical weaknesses that could contribute to injury. The business has grown from a horse ownership and breeding enterprise into a specialist bodywork service for equine athletes.
