About California Land Surveyors Association
CLSA, the California Land Surveyors Association, is dedicated to advancing the sciences and technologies within the surveying profession. With the goal of increasing awareness and cooperation between the public and private sectors, CLSA also works to establish communication channels with other organizations. They prioritize the protection of public welfare related to surveying and mapping issues and encourage ethical and professional behavior within the industry.
CLSA represents surveyors at the local, state, regional, and national levels. At the local level, the association’s chapters address local issues, while at the state level, CLSA works with legislative programs and liaises with the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists. They are also an active member of the Western Federation of Professional Land Surveyors and have institutional affiliation with the National Society of Professional Surveyors.
CLSA provides educational opportunities through annual conferences, seminars, and workshops. They publish the California Surveyor magazine and CLSA News, keeping members informed about legislation and legal opinions. Additionally, CLSA offers business and professional services, including a fully staffed central office for member support and access to health and professional liability insurance programs.
With a wide range of publications available, CLSA ensures that members have access to the latest information in the surveying profession
