About Caliphate Air
Caliphate Air is an emerging Nigerian airline dedicated to transforming domestic air travel with a focus on safety, service, and reliability. Preparing for its launch in summer 2026, Caliphate Air will provide scheduled passenger and cargo services, operating primarily from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The airline is currently in the process of obtaining its Air Operator’s Certificate from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority following the issuance of its Air Transport Licence in 2025.
With the Sokoto State Government as its owner, Caliphate Air operates as a limited liability company under the Sokoto State Investment Council, merging public support with professional governance. The airline aims to offer a customer-centric experience built on a strong safety culture, operational discipline, and dependable on-time performance, setting a new standard for air travel in Nigeria.
