The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) is an American nondenominational Christian ministry supporting believers who face persecution in restricted and hostile countries. Founded in 1967 by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand and his wife, Sabina, after Richard’s imprisonment for his Christian witness in Communist Romania, VOM shares the stories of persecuted Christians to encourage biblical faith and commitment to Christ.
The ministry provides practical assistance to Christians and front-line workers, including Bibles, resources, training, and support following persecution. It also helps connect supporters with persecuted believers through prayer initiatives such as the Global Prayer Guide, Partner in Prayer, iCommitToPray, and Prisoner Alert. VOM invites people to contribute through donations, legacy and non-cash gifts, and activities such as assembling Action Packs.
For learning and encouragement, the organization offers a free magazine, stories, radio programming, an app, children’s resources, films, books, and other materials. It also provides events and networks for churches and leaders.
