California Solar & Storage Association

The California Solar & Storage Association (CALSSA) is California’s largest clean energy business group, representing companies that manufacture, design, install, and finance solar and energy storage systems, along with businesses that provide other resources to the state’s market. The association works to build California’s solar and storage industry, drawing on more than 45 years of industry history. Its membership includes residential contractors, suppliers, service providers, and other clean energy businesses.

CALSSA supports its members through regional chapters, committees, permitting assistance, a supplier and service directory, member discounts, a solar job board, and industry resources such as fact sheets, reports, and webinar recordings. It also brings the industry together through events, including webinars, regional chapter gatherings, an annual dinner, and the Solar Battle of the Bands.

For consumers, CALSSA offers guidance on going solar, solar rights, buying or selling a solar-equipped home, consumer protection, and finding a contractor. The association also provides a consumer protection hotline and publishes member ethics and consumer protection guidelines.
