About Caltec Security
Caltec Security is an upcoming online shop focused on home alarms and video surveillance, offering equipment without a mandatory subscription. Customers will be able to choose wireless alarm devices and cameras that can be monitored and managed from a phone. The planned range includes Ajax alarm components such as hubs, motion and door detectors, photo-enabled MotionCam sensors, sirens, keypads and remote controls. MotionCam sends a photo with an alarm alert rather than recording video. For surveillance, Caltec Security plans indoor and outdoor cameras with a recorder that stores images at home and supports remote viewing.
The company also plans to offer a free security assessment: customers can submit a floor plan and photos of their home, and an AI tool will suggest suitable equipment and camera and detector locations. Technicians can install alarms and cameras, with maintenance available through an optional contract. Customers buy and own their equipment, and no monthly subscription is imposed; optional costs may include a SIM card or maintenance. Caltec Security’s shop is not yet open.
