Cambrian Players is Thunder Bay’s longest-running community theatre, operating since 1949 as an inclusive, volunteer-led, non-profit organization. Based at its intimate theatre on Spring Street, the company brings live performance to local audiences and works to foster appreciation of theatre through diverse, high-quality productions. Its program includes mainstage shows, Green Room productions and improv events, with performances and special events hosted at Cambrian Players Theatre.
Upcoming offerings include The Novena Sisters, presented as a theatrical premiere, A Very Merry Improv Christmas Show and Marjorie Prime. Beyond staging productions, Cambrian Players supports community participation through auditions, volunteer opportunities and training in theatrical production, both onstage and behind the scenes. The organization also offers recreational opportunities and affordable entertainment for its members and the wider community.
With a focus on accessibility and community involvement, Cambrian Players invites people to attend performances, get involved in theatre-making, support its work through donations, or connect through its mailing list and community programs
