About Cambridge & District Humane Society
The Cambridge & District Humane Society is a dedicated non-profit organization in Ontario, committed to promoting the health, safety, and humane treatment of animals within the community. Through public education and various services, the society provides care and shelter for animals in need, ensuring they receive the compassion and respect they deserve. With an annual expenditure of over $72,000 on veterinary care and emergency procedures, the society's focus extends to animal adoption, offering homes to thousands of pets each year.
In addition to facilitating adoptions, the Cambridge & District Humane Society offers a range of services, including emergency boarding, a pet food bank, and cremation services for families facing financial difficulties. They also provide resources for pet licensing and support for lost and found animals. Community involvement through donations and volunteer efforts fuels the society’s mission, making it a vital resource for animal welfare in the Cambridge area.
