CAMBRIDGE SPEED SKATING

Cambridge Speed Skating Club is a youth-focused sports organization in Cambridge, Ontario, established in 1972. It supports skaters ages 5 to 18, helping them build confidence, athletic skills, and a lasting enjoyment of skating in a supportive environment. The club offers a pathway from learning the fundamentals of speed skating to preparing for regional, provincial, and national competition.

Its Fundamentals program introduces speed-skating technique to participants who already know how to skate. Development is for skaters ready to improve their speed, technique, and endurance, while the Elite program focuses on advanced skills, race strategy, speed development, and competitive performance. Newcomers can also explore introductory sessions in a low-pressure setting before joining.

Additional offerings include equipment information, guest skating, a summer training program, and competition and meet resources. The club shares program details, registration information, a calendar, and guidance for parents through its website. Cambridge Speed Skating Club operates from Hespeler Arena at 640 Ellis Road in Cambridge and welcomes families interested in helping young athletes discover and progress in the sport.
