Cambridge Sword

Cambridge Sword is a foil fencing club based in Cambridgeshire, offering welcoming, structured training for children and teenagers from age eight, as well as experienced fencers. Its coaching team supports beginners and more advanced members, with sessions designed to develop fencing skills, confidence, fitness and enjoyment in a safe, inclusive environment. Newcomers can try beginner-friendly sessions without previous experience, and equipment is provided.

Regular term-time club sessions cater to different age groups and abilities, combining coaching in footwork, technique and tactics with sparring practice. Fencers looking to progress can join squad training and receive support with competitions, while recreational members can enjoy the sport and social atmosphere at their own pace. Cambridge Sword also delivers fencing programmes in schools and holiday camps featuring learning, games and physical activity.

The club welcomes young people seeking an engaging sport and parents looking for a confidence-building activity for their child. Prospective members can explore available sessions and book through the club’s website, or contact the team with questions
