Dave Hall, known as Camino Coach Dave, is a Milwaukee-based Camino life coach, author, and pilgrim whose work helps people navigate grief, recovery, and life transitions through the spirit of pilgrimage. After walking Spain’s Camino del Norte and Portuguese Coastal route, and later traveling from León to Santiago with a guitar, Hall developed a practice centered on the idea that the Camino is a way of living, not just a journey.
His offerings bring together coaching, community, writing, retreats, and hospitality. CaminoLife provides individual coaching, small-group preparation cohorts for first-time pilgrims, and an app designed to support people through the Dream, Pilgrimage, and Homecoming stages. The app is planned for spring 2027. His upcoming book, Walking Toward Fire, shares his experiences of grief, recovery, and the Camino life. The 12 Steps on the Camino retreat is a nine-day, 56-mile recovery pilgrimage along Wisconsin’s Wisconsin Way, scheduled for April 2027. Hall also publishes a free newsletter with reflections from the road.
