Campalto

Campalto is an equestrian centre established in 1990 in San Rossore, Pisa, an area known as the “country of horses.” Its activities bring together riding instruction, pony programs, horse breeding and the organisation of sporting events. The F.I.S.E.-affiliated riding and pony schools welcome beginners as well as competitive riders, with instruction provided by federal instructors and qualified technical staff. Children can also take part in pony games and F.I.S.E. recreational activities.

Campalto breeds Italian Saddle horses and operates an equine insemination station and embryo-transfer centre, with foaling assistance and boarding for broodmares. Horse boarding is also available. The venue offers grass and sand arenas, indoor training arenas and a cross-country derby course, supported by a covered horse walker and round pen. Its facilities include 90 permanent stalls, 250 additional stalls for competitions, a clubhouse, changing rooms, showers, parking and Wi-Fi. Based at Via del Tiro a Segno in Pisa, Campalto also hosts sporting events and provides streaming information through its website.
