About Fair Elections Center
Campus Vote Project (CVP), launched in 2012 by Fair Elections Center, is dedicated to empowering students with the knowledge and resources necessary to register and vote. The initiative focuses on normalizing student voting by collaborating with colleges and universities nationwide, including over 360 institutions across 41 states, serving a collective student body of more than 4.6 million. CVP develops tailored state student voter guides, addressing common questions around campus voting challenges, and emphasizes support for community colleges and minority-serving institutions.
Key programs include the Democracy Fellowship, which fosters student leadership in democratic engagement, and the Voter Friendly Campus initiative, aimed at creating sustainable democratic processes on campuses. Furthermore, CVP engages students through summits and targeted outreach, particularly in core states such as Florida, Michigan, and North Carolina. As CVP looks to the future, it aims to expand its partnerships and enhance youth voting rights, ensuring that students are equipped to actively participate in democracy.
