Camrose Music Festival

The Camrose & District Music Festival is an annual community event that celebrates local talent and invites people of all abilities to take part. Established in 1982, the festival was created to promote music, speech arts, and dance by giving amateur performers a welcoming, workshop-like setting in which to share their work, develop their skills, and grow in the fine arts.

The festival emphasizes learning and personal development over competition. Participants gain experience performing and receive ideas and feedback from adjudicators, while audiences can learn through observing. Its aim is to encourage students toward greater confidence, skill, and excellence. From the 2025 festival onward, all students are eligible for scholarships and prizes, and participants can still pursue the route to provincials. Awards are presented as recognition and encouragement, rather than as the primary goal.

The organization shares festival news and highlights, provides registration information, and welcomes volunteers and donations to support its work. It also connects with the community through its newsletter and Facebook updates.
