About CAMRT
The Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is a national professional association and certifying body for radiological, nuclear medicine, and magnetic resonance imaging technologists, as well as radiation therapists. Established in 1942, CAMRT is recognized both nationally and internationally as a leading advocate for the profession of medical radiation technology. With over 12,000 members, CAMRT serves as an authoritative voice on critical issues affecting its members and their practice.
CAMRT offers a wide range of programs and services to support the medical radiation technology profession. These include advanced practice certification, clinical specialist radiation therapist (CSRT) initiative, clinical advisor/delegated assessors, and degree completion programs for medical radiation technologists. CAMRT also provides resources and support for professional development, continuing education, and job opportunities.
Additionally, they offer certifications for graduates from Canadian accredited programs, as well as internationally educated medical radiation technologists (IEMRTs). By joining CAMRT, members gain access to practice guidelines, the latest news, a member photo gallery, and opportunities to volunteer and contribute to their profession. CAMRT's mission is to promote and advance the field of medical radiation technology, ensuring high standards of practice and advocating for the well-being of its members
