PIGS

PIGS, based in Victoria, British Columbia, is a Canadian touring tribute band dedicated to recreating the music and live atmosphere of Pink Floyd. Formed in 2008, the seven-member group has performed hundreds of shows across the country and describes itself as Canada’s most authentic Pink Floyd tribute. Its performances combine detailed musical arrangements with lighting and visual effects to evoke the band’s celebrated 1970s era.

The group’s repertoire spans psychedelic epics and emotionally powerful songs, including “Shine On You Crazy Diamond,” “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun,” “Comfortably Numb,” and “Us and Them.” The lineup features lead guitar and vocals, bass, keyboards, drums, a second guitarist, backing vocals, and saxophone, with members taking on the roles associated with Pink Floyd’s musicians and touring collaborators. PIGS emphasizes faithful sound, instrumentation, and stage presentation, while also drawing on the flexibility of its performers to reproduce the music’s extended solos and distinctive textures.
