Canada Sunshine List is an independent public-record search platform that brings provincial public-sector salary disclosures together in one searchable ledger. It lets users look up employees by name, employer, or job title, browse organizations, and view compensation totals and year-by-year salary histories. The site also offers tools to compare provinces, explore salary trends, and calculate how pay compares with disclosure thresholds.

Its coverage spans nine provinces and more than 30 years of records, with over 9.6 million salary entries reported. Provincial datasets vary in scope, thresholds, and format; Prince Edward Island has no downloadable salary list currently available, and the site notes that Quebec does not publish a comparable list. Records are sourced from provincial governments and include details such as names, positions, salaries, and, where disclosed, taxable benefits.

Beyond salary data, Canada Sunshine List makes federal government contract information searchable and provides guides, analysis, and a newsletter about new data releases. The service is free, requires no sign-up, and is not affiliated with any government.
