Cancer Doesn't Care

Cancer Doesn’t Care is a lung cancer awareness and advocacy initiative focused on improving early detection and expanding access to screening. Its work includes engaging legislators across the country to make low-dose CT scans a routine screening option for people over 40. The organization highlights that lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death, while emphasizing that it can be highly treatable when found early, even in people with no symptoms or history of smoking.

Through the Cancer Doesn’t Care Fund, the initiative aims to help people who fall outside current screening guidelines access potentially life-saving scans, while advocating to change those guidelines. Supporters can donate, find screening locations, attend fundraising events, and share personal stories to raise awareness. The brand also shares Shira Boehler’s experience of discovering Stage I lung cancer during a routine scan. Her memoir describes her journey, with book profits supporting the fund’s work on screening access and research.
