About Cancer Prevention at Work Project
Brand: Cancer Prevention at Work
Cancer Prevention at Work (CPW) is a Horizon Europe Mission Cancer project focused on researching the cost effectiveness and social acceptance of integrating prevention measures for cancers linked to Helicobacter pylori, Hepatitis C virus, and Human Papilloma virus into primary occupational health surveillance programs. The project engages local, national, and EU stakeholders to enhance workers' participation in infection-related cancer screening. With pillars of stakeholder engagement, inter-disciplinarity, and open science, CPW aims to address medical, societal, and policy aspects related to cancer prevention. Funded by the European Union, CPW operates with a budget of 5,801,577.50 € until April 2027. Led by Prof. Paolo Boffetta from the University of Bologna, CPW collaborates with various organizations across Europe to advance cancer prevention research.
