Canécole

Canécole is a dog education and behaviour practice based in Talence, serving Bordeaux and the wider Gironde region. Founded in 2008 by educator and animal behaviour specialist Wini Verschueren, the school draws on her experience of more than 20 years to help dogs and their people build a calmer, more rewarding relationship. Its approach is grounded in behavioural science, positive reinforcement, individualised guidance and respect for animal welfare, with an emphasis on clear communication and each participant’s needs.

Canécole offers dog training and behaviour consultations, including support for challenging behaviours, pre-adoption planning and households with multiple dogs or different animal species. Other services include educational walks and workshops, online courses, video consultations, coaching in human-dog communication, and aptitude assessments for owners of category 1 and 2 dogs. The practice also works with owners to teach everyday skills and improve understanding of canine signals and needs. Canécole welcomes dogs as family members and aims to make learning safe, supportive and practical for both dogs and humans.
